Our School Need

(Presentation in 2000)
We began our school in a small unused room, now with more students we need to have a real place where we can hold the classes; at the moment we can count on the help of the parents who allow us to use communal lands for an indefinite time. Here we would be able to build and stock the following:

A. - A Schoolroom for studies, with an area for recess
B. - A supply of teaching materials for the School
C. - A workshop for working with manual jobs
D. - A greenhouse
E. -A storehouse for food and medicine, we can also use the space to give medical attention
F.- A Water System including Bathrooms and showers
G. - A stock of medicine and medications
H.- Repairs for the bridge at Pacco'opampa Chaka (Pacc’opampa Bridge) (used daily by the children who come from the Annexes of Ccollpacucho and Chaupimayo --at the moment it is only a couple of trunks laid across the river – it is a permanent danger since the children cross it twice a day).
I.- Construction and Implementation of a house for teachers

What we were able to get untill 2004:

After 5 years of ongoing work, we were able to construct our School, with 2 classroms, 2 workshops rooms, a Pavilion with rooms for for the School Direction-Storehouse and teacher's room, A water system , a Greenhouse and Basic letrins.

Recently two of the classrooms have been upgraded and the roof has just been put on the new toilets for the children by the community

What We still Need:

The school now needs to complete the upgrading of the remaining classrooms to include wooden floors, roof lights and smooth finish the walls and also upgrade the teacher accomodation and recreation area.

Classes were given in open air many times
